21  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Flat Rate Fill-a-Box: New Years 2010; signup 12/29/09-1/8/10 sendout 1/19/10 on: January 04, 2010 08:13:59 AM
"I haven't officially joined yet, but I am kind of drooling over the stained glass/glass tiles!"
iheartzb, I don't have a ton of glass, just some leftovers, But if you mosaic, I think some of it is really pretty. If I don't get a partner who wants it, we'll do a private swap.  Wink

I have a small pile of scrapbooking things: "card talk" embellishments and "memo board" pages. And I don't scrapbook, so they need a good home! Also some stained glass/glass tiles, if anyone makes mosaics or something.
I'd like to receive some beginner's felting supplies (I'd like to learn). I also love baking and kitchen supplies/items, ribbon (of any kind, but especially silk or velvet), fabric in nifty prints or textures, and buttons!
Or, you know, whatever someone decides to send me. The surprises are always the best!
23  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Ongoing Wish Swap Round 53 Gallery on: December 28, 2009 10:43:52 AM
I received from Claire313 today! Here are the photos. First, the whole shabang, including some spools of ribbon (always appreciated):

Next, a close-up of the notebooks. These are so cute! I use little notebooks like this at work, and I can't wait to display them on my desk.

And finally, a box of whimsy.

Thank you, Claire. I love everything!

OWS 53 seems to be stalled. I want to see more lists! Let's go!
25  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Ongoing Wish Swap Round 53 - DONE on: December 16, 2009 08:58:23 PM
I'd like to claim frosty772 for beading/jewelry supplies!

This is my first claim this round (of 3)
none sent
none received

Im 36 years old, and I live in southeast Pennsylvania.  Im married, no kids, many pets (a dog, three cats, and three birds).  I am an editor, and love books and anything book-related. I like anything sparkly or shiny. Or weird or spooky or downright creepy.  Or lush and luxe. And owls, and crows, and cats.  I love to bake, and Ill try pretty much any new art/craft I can get my hands on. Im plus-size (at least on top) and I dont really have any allergies. On to the wishes!

CRAFTS

*Half-size notebooks (5x7-ish), preferably spiral bound. Would love if they were handmade and/or decorated by you!

*An apron. Full or half, using some funky fabric.

*Fine-point markers.

*Loosely knit kimono sweater (inspiration here: http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=28700991). I will provide any measurements you need.

*Hoodie sweatshirt. Used, handmade, upcycled. Bonus if it has Led Zeppelin on it.

*Scented dusting powder. I have a dish and a puff, but love to try new powders. Florals are good. Nothing vanilla or fruity.

*Sturdy/stiff tea wallet that will accommodate teabags from Mighty Leaf teas (3x3.5 inches)

*Whimsy jar. Love those things.

*Knit socks (mid-calf or higher) out of wool, cotton, bamboo, cashmere, or a blend thereof (natural fibers, basically).

*Knit legwarmers again, a natural fiber.

*Neckwarmer/cowl/scarf collar. Knit, felt, whatever. I like texture. Something interesting. Black or grey.

*Puzzles. 500-1000 pieces.

NEW! A knit beret/tam/whatever you want to call it. Grey or black.

NEW! A teapot.

NEW! Anything related to Alice in Wonderland (not the Disney version). Prefer useful things. Ooo! How about a teapot with an Alice theme??

NEW! Cute bobby pins to pull my hair out of my face while crafting. *laugh*

NEW! Portrait of my pets -- any medium, any style (I will provide photos)

NEW! A clutch or wristlet with ruffles (kinda like this: http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=36797894). More ruffles would be okay. Any color except yellow. Should be at least 8x4, or bigger.

CRAFT SUPPLIES

*Ribbon in all shapes and sizes, especially silk or satin, velvet, or vintage ribbons.

*Handmade glass beads

*Mini cake pans (to make little cakes!) or shaped cupcake pans, or other nifty baking pans

*Wooden spoons and silicone spatulas. You can never have too many.

*Baking goodies (cupcake papers, cookie cutters, cookie molds, sprinkles, etc.)

*Cookbooks and cooking magazines, especially about baking. Used is encouraged!

*In the trying new things category: Tutorials/kits for soapmaking, resin, PMC, knit/crochet, or embroidery

EXTRAS

*Cheese, sausage, baked goods, recipes
*Anything else you'd like to share - i love surprises!

I'm hoping signing up for this will make me spend more time crafting and time with my face in the fridge.  Cheesy
27  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Re: magnets & thumbtacks from glass beads, beer caps & resin on: December 24, 2008 06:26:33 AM
I LOVE these. I've always wanted to try playing with resin. Where do I get it? We don't have an art store around here. Just JoAnn and A.C. Moore. Do they carry it?
28  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Discussion and Questions / Re: Ideas: Making a gift out of wedding invitations? on: July 14, 2008 06:43:39 AM
Quilling is lovely. Unfortunately, I have no idea how to do that.
Also, to reiterate, I don't want to give them a framed invite. I want to make something different out of it. Change it's basic structure.
I still don't have any ideas, though. *sigh*

30  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Discussion and Questions / Ideas: Making a gift out of wedding invitations? on: June 30, 2008 05:41:27 PM
I'd like to make a gift for my cousin's wedding, using the wedding invitation and the shower invitation. I don't want to just frame them.
Maybe make something unrelated using the papers? I'm stuck.
Suggestions?
