1  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Fishnet Yoga Bag on: December 02, 2008 03:11:06 PM
I made this while avoiding my family over Thanksgiving Break.  It turned out way cuter than I imagined it would!

Let me know what you think!
2  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Emma Goldman Cross-stitch on: September 23, 2008 03:35:16 PM
One of my favorite feminist mentors has a fabulous Emma Goldman tattoo on her forearm so as a gift to her for being so great to me for years, I made this for her.

I hope you like it!  I know she will.

If you have never heard of Emma Goldman and want to know why she is so great check out this link:

I found this pattern and other awesome feminist patterns at Radical Crosstitch DIY.  Here is a link:

3  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Beginner's Summer Skirts! on: June 17, 2008 02:00:03 PM
I am new to craftster and LOVE it!  I am also a new sewer.  Here are some rad summer skirts that I made to wear to my stuffy summer internship.  There's nothing like working full-time over the summer for free!

The rainbow skirt is made out of an ugly thrifted dress.

The Star Wars skirt is made out of some old curtains that my neighbor gave me.  I got a lot of sideways glances at work in this thing....Hot!

4  UNITED STATES / Missouri / Columbia, MO Thriftacular! on: June 12, 2008 01:41:11 PM
My favorite place in Columbia to thrift is the Wardrobe on 715 Park Ave.  It is only open a few days a week and has kind of crazy hours BUT at the end of each season they have 25 cent sales which rule!  They also have a "Vintage" section with pretty cheap and fabulous finds.

Anyone else have any CoMo hot spots?
