So a few months ago my DH got a banjo from and estate sale, and has been annoying me with it, even while I'm trying to watch TV! Granted, he has gotten pretty good, but I can't hear Bones! Irritating! Well, I thought I'd make him a shirt to show his obsession to the world! It wasn't all that easy with all the little pieces in the stencil, but I drew it myself and everything!
Well, here you go! Please excuse the washed out photo, it's been rather drab here lately...
For Xmas my DHs family draws names for gifts (there are 8 of us not including Mom & Dad!) I drew my SIL and she didn't have a proper sewing box, so I found this awesome, old rusty, dented, metal tackle box at an estate sale, sanded it down and spray painted it. Then I made a stencil out of contact paper, put it on the top and painted it again, leaving the plant design behind! Then I fixed up the inside because it was all stained and stuff, and filled it with goodies, I'm teaching her to crochet! It was really fun! So on to the pics...
My husband and I made these blocks for our nephew Frederick for Xmas, they were really fun! I made the patterns, then he cut them, and I painted them after we sanded them down! We made these "rocks" to go with the set, as well as 2 trees and a volcano. The rocks are great for stacking!! Plus, all the dinosaurs can stack on top of each other, creating a dino tower!! FUN FUN FUN!!
I then made this drawstring bag to pack it and the rest of his presents (all dino themed) into! They really love the bag to keep toys in, and use it ALL the time!
I made these guys for some friends' kids. The monkey is named "Bubbles the Robot" by a 4 year old little girl, and I call the frog Frode (pron. FROO-DUH). They are made from patterns from the book Fleecie Pets.
Frode has his swim trunks on and is about to go swimming!
I made this little sweetie for a friend's 9 month old little girl. I think she looks like an Astrid. I used a pattern for the bear from the book Fleecie Pets ( I think that's what it's called...) but winged it for the dress.
I made this apron last week because I got my clothesline fixed, and i only have 2 hands, which makes it hard to hold clothespins and pin clothes up at the same time! It is REALLY handy!! I can fit like 100 clothespins in it, too!
