your scarf looks great!! i've been wanting to try lace --and i looked at this pattern. i can "do" it all, but don't understand why the stitch markers are used? are all the "M' in the second and third row, just mean you get to a marker?? what are they there for? ---and if the pattern repeats, do you just place the marker where it is, when you come to it in subsequent rows???

the purple mitts are beautiful! i have to get up the nerve to try mittens --i can do socks so that's next! Grin and i agree about seed stitch! it looks great but when i do it, i really think i'm going soooo slowly. it starts out a good idea and takes forever....
