12  newbie embroidery in Sublime Stitching Embroidery by elmom on: October 21, 2009 07:47:52 AM
This is my third try at posting pics !!! So obviously I'm new to this...

the veggies are a pattern from Sublime Stitchery that I bought. The stitches are basic --back stitch, chain, split stitch.. the dots are french knots. The word I free-handed with a washable pen. The towels are "Food Network" brand flour sacks from Kohl's.I thought they were kind of pricey ($13 for 4) but after reading here about how cheapies fall apart/are hard to sew, I would rate these good.
Thanks for all comments --now I'll try for the 4th time to include my bad pics!!!

13  Chick Magnet in Halloween Costumes by elmom on: November 02, 2008 01:53:17 PM

I'm not sure if this will work --but I've been lurking for awhile... my son and I copied this from an expensive, on-line Halloween costume site... He's on the left (his disinterested, uninspired friend is on the right.) My son is a Chick Magnet get it? Cheesy He actually is popular with the ladies..in a 7th grade sort of way. The other entries are amazing!!!
