1  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: 12 Days of Christmas 2008 Gallery on: December 20, 2008 10:06:30 AM
Hellobint- thanks for the encouragement with yoyowa's pattern.  It's not just that the pattern was cut.  I also altered the pattern with extra paper, a ruler, a pen, and pattern design knowledge so that it should fit yoyowa, because I could not find an appropriate pattern in her size.

thanks!
Day 12 - 12 lovely handmade cards from yoyowa!  So tasteful and thoughtful.  Thank you!
Day 11 - scrapbooking supplies, a tote, and a hand-made painting!  I don't know how you counted these to only be eleven items, they seem like a lot more to me!  The painting colors go well with my green living room too!  Thanks!

I received a wonderful, thoughtful package from Zombiecazz and could not get my camera situation together.

But here it is:

The matroishka pencil case was a wonderful extra item, not part of the original claim, and was taken from an idea in my wists.  Plus, she included two Scotland pencils with it.  Everything was just beautiful and I am very appreciative.  I am very sorry for the delay in posting.

6  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Ongoing Wish Swap Round 39 on: October 17, 2008 11:36:12 AM
i claim claire for yoga pants. This is my fifth claim this round, none sent, three received.  I live in Michigan USA, I am a crafting fiend who loves only natural fabrics and who is allergic to smoke, cats, and aloe vera.  If you're sending something washable, the cats and smoke won't be a problem.  My favorite thing to make is lingerie.

7  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Re: Where do you buy your patterns? on: October 14, 2008 09:19:58 AM
I go to fashionistafabrics.com because she sometimes has vintage patterns available which are cute and unusual.

what is a rockabilly style dress?
9  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Sleeves on waste yarn - now how do I get them onto my shrug? on: October 14, 2008 09:13:51 AM
I went and looked at the pattern, and I think you're doing the right thing.  The stitches might be tight for the first two rows as you make the transition, it's true, but once you scoot them along the circular and are working on the next flat part of the knitting, it should be okay.  Did you slip the stitches back off of the waste yarn onto a small diameter circular?  It's a whole lot easier to pick up stitches from a needle than from the air.  I do this with a smaller needle so there would be more room for my main needle as it comes in.

Let us know how this turns out!

Islamic prayer beads in any type of natural bead (glass, wood, stone, etc.)  33 or 99 beads would each be nice.  They can be wacky and whimsical colors too.   I am starting a collection of your creative and unique designs in this swap. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Misbaha
even though farmgirl jane and sullengal sent some beautiful beads, I could use more, so am keeping them on here.
