11  Soda tab mini clutch in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by lyric889 on: February 16, 2010 09:13:28 PM
just something I was experimenting with.

its made entirely out of soda tabs that have been crocheted together with blue yarn and closes with a button.

I think I'm gonna make a few more, but trying different ways to close it or just different design ideas until I find something I like. C&C always welcome

12  Magazine Clutch/Wallet (image obese!) in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by lyric889 on: September 28, 2009 01:13:27 PM
Well my mom was going to recycle all these old magazines and I saw them and thought I could make something out of them. So I found a tutorial online about making magazine pages and magazine collages into a cute new clutch. They're so easy to make so you kind of get addicted. Lol

Two of my friends LOVE Adam Lambert so those are for them.
The designer collage is for another friend who is really into fashion.
And the Jonas Brother one is for a friend who loves JB.

The white Chanel one, the Megan Fox one, and the other magazine collage one are mine I guess Lol

They all close with velcro that I've sewn on them

C&C Welcome!

(dont mind my finger in the picture lol)

13  First attempt at chainmaille, pink and black bracelet in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by lyric889 on: July 06, 2009 10:53:55 AM
I just got some new colored wire recently and I have been seeing alot of chainmaille around recently so I though I would give it a try. I made all the rings myself and found a pretty simple pattern online and went to work. When I first made it, it was only one layer but it was kinda big and open...i didnt like it, so i doubled all the rings and I think it looks a lot better now Smiley

C&C welcome

14  First try at canes! in Polymer Clay: Completed Projects by lyric889 on: April 22, 2009 08:15:32 PM
These are my first EVER attempt at canes. I think they came out okay for my first try, don't you?

(btw they are miniature, because I think most things are cuter when they're tiny Smiley )

Sushi cane

Lime cane

I also made a few mini books

It got kind of cloudy since I don't think I heated the resin enough before I mixed it Sad ohh well, I'll know next time. I think they came out kinda of good for a first try.

16  Sushi in-a-bottle Necklace in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by lyric889 on: April 22, 2009 08:03:20 PM
First of all, my absolute favorite type of food is Japanese. So naturally alot of my projects are focused around that theme and during my spring break last week I got a little bored so I thought I would try to work with some polymer clay(last time I tried, I didn't seem to have the patience and I got frustrated and quit) But anyway, I tried making a Sushi cane and it actually came out better than I thought it would! My love of miniatures and a love of tiny bottles brought me to make my new favorite necklace Smiley

Its 4 pieces of a sushi roll and one little piece of tuna nigiri. i also added some tiny marble type balls I had to imitate fish roe(it would be cuter if they were red though)
then I made a little gyoza dumpling to go along with the rest of the food.

Comment and criticism welcomed!

This is the first try but the cork started to yellow my liquid for some reason Sad

17  Placebo hoodie :) in Stenciling: Completed Projects by lyric889 on: January 24, 2009 07:27:33 PM
Sooo its been a while since I've stenciled/sewn anything. Lately I've been making cell charms for my friends but I decided to make something for myself.

I have tons of TH stuff, so I wanted to make some gear for one of my other favorite bands, Placebo!! I also looked at their official merch online and didn't really care to much for it, so why not make your own? Lol I knew I had to do the signature wings, then decided on a lyric on the front.

Tell me what you think!! (the hoodie is actually a greenish/tuquoise color, but for some reason my camera made it come out gray...?)

18  (RINGS) my shrinky dink experiment?! (img heavy) in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by lyric889 on: April 27, 2008 03:38:37 PM
Well a weekend with nothing to do turns into a weekend of crafting :]

i was inspired by Star's post on shrinkydink rings, and decided to give it a try.

i thought id make some merch from one of my favorite bands, Tokio Hotel, because you cant get alot of their merchandise stuff here in the states, and shipping from THEIR merch store cost about $40. ya, my parents aren't really up for paying that either.

**i advise if you try this for the first time, practice on a scrap piece, not on the good one you made because it most likely wont turn out good the first time you try and you would just ruin your good piece of shrinky dinks.

so here are 3 of the ones i made (i wanted to do something simple):</br>

gotta have the band name, and the Kaulitz twins :]]

comments or critisizm welcomed!
