I love wire!
And that wrapping is beautiful!!!

Is it real ($$) wire or just regular??

VERYYYYYY PRETTY second one too!!!!

Thanks!   It's sterling silver wire.  I'd done two other wire-wrapped pieces with craft wire first before risking the $$ on silver wire!

Thanks for the kind words guys.  The first one was a lot of work so it needs some love!   (I wondered about the one green bead but felt I needed to throw it in.)

Anyone looking for instructions should track down the Ondori book "Beads and Wire"  (ISBN 4889961143), the instructions I used were for a picture frame embellishment, modified to make a pendant (pg 25).   =)

That is a brilliant reuse - love it.   Perfect for a night of dancing.

(And the title of this post is also fantabulous, btw.   Cheesy)
16  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Re: Whirl-it Lampshade on: July 02, 2009 10:04:14 PM
Wow!   So simple and so awesome.... your place and this lampshade totally look like something from a design magazine.   This idea is bookmarked, I have to make this one day - thanks!
17  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Beads: Completed Projects / Re: Silken Ripples on: July 02, 2009 09:51:52 PM
That is amazing!   Shocked     I've never seen peyote/gourd stitch like that before.  It's fabulous, has movement in the shape and colour...  just beautiful.

That is a great bracelet....   I've never come across titanium components (except finished jewelry).   Be sure to report back if you do manage to track some down!

Fabulous - especially the blue feather one.... it just pops!
20  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Icy Blue Necklaces - breaking out of a rut! on: July 02, 2009 09:36:21 PM
I started down the craft road as a beader and for a long time did nothing but beadwork.  Then I learned to crochet, and sew, and weave.... and my beads didn't get out much.   Lately I've started to get the urge to play with them again and have some finished projects to show off!

The pendant I started over a year ago and just lost all enthusiasm for (all that wire wrapping!)... but I'm super glad I finished it, I think the end product is pretty special.   The chain necklace I whipped up much faster, it's a simple asymmetrical dealie.   Wink    It's good to have finished projects to show!
