15  Re: Two great knit bags, please give idea how to convert to crochet. in Crochet: Discussion and Questions by RyuuDolly on: November 06, 2008 10:30:54 PM
Happy Hooker has a very nice pattern. :]

you can modify it to fit your likes... like starting with a bigger chain or increasing more. I don't remember the pattern exactly but it's fairly easy once you get into it.

the second one...
well, to get that look.. you could crochet TWO long pieces.. sew or  crochet together the sides.
at the top.. you just crochet into the round, leave a hole [ lots of chains and skipping stitches to fit a strap] and just continue crocheting into the round til it's long enough to fold outwards.

i think lol. well if you are interested in that look just PM me! i like converting patterns since i'm only a beginner with knitting.

17  What is this yarn called? in Crochet: Discussion and Questions by RyuuDolly on: November 03, 2008 11:02:26 AM
I've only bought yarn from Michaels this year. I've already browsed the site.. of course it's not listed.

I'm not sure if it's discount yarn or not. But has anyone seen anything like this?

It's smooth, bright & shiny .. it looks like larger embroidery thread, ya?
