1  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Discussion and Questions / Hillary Lang's new stitchettes have been released! on: October 12, 2006 05:16:25 AM
I'm in no way affiliated, but thought some of you might be interested to know that Hillary Lang's new stitchette's embroidery patterns have been released:

I missed out on the first set (summer)-- she's not re-releasing them, and I am totally bummed about it, so I didn't want anyone to miss out on the Fall set!
2  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Trogdor!!! on: September 07, 2006 05:14:55 AM
I just stitched this up over the weekend.  It's on a kitchen towel.  Dh wants me to stitch another one up to give to one of his friends.  They made a HUGE pumpkin chucking trebuchet with dragon spikes a few years ago and named it Trogdor.

3  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Stitchalongs / 80s stitchalong! on: September 01, 2006 07:00:17 AM
Someone mentioned an 80s stitchalong in another thread, and there was some interest, so I decided to start a new post about it.

Stitch up anything having to do with the 1980s-- NKOTB, 80s cartoons,Tears for Fears, etc.
I know there are some great coloring books and printable coloring pages of 80s cartoons (and NKOTB!) that would make great transfers.

Post your ideas, and get stitching!  Smiley
4  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Little Birdie on: August 27, 2006 08:39:26 AM
This is my 2nd embroidery project Wink

Have I mentioned how much I love the Sublime Stitching patterns?
5  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / My 1st ever embroidery on: August 23, 2006 07:06:57 AM
I'm a prolific knitter, but have never tried embroidery until I spied the awesome wee wonderful (really wish I snagged her patterns before they sold out!) and sublime stitching websites, so I decided to pick up the Stitch it Kit at B&N last week.  I must say, I LOVE how quick embroidery is-- so much more of an instant gratification than knitting is.

Anyway, here's my first stab at embroidery:

It's not perfect, but I think it's pretty darn cute.  I used all split stitch.
