21  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / another rice bag on: August 31, 2006 08:11:42 AM
My rice bag, with the Jordy squared bottom.

It's lined with fabric, but the rice bags are the yucky plasticy kind - but surprisingly durable and light.

25  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / DDC number on sweater on: June 02, 2006 12:08:31 PM
Now that I have the attention of all the librarians...  Wink

Anyone else notice the DDC on the sweater at Knitty.com, here (scroll down)?

So cool - but am I geeky enough to make and wear it?  I was geeky enough to recognize the subject, but maybe I shouldn't be proclaiming it to the world.  Grin
26  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / projects from Alan Dart patterns on: May 24, 2006 04:11:26 PM
So I thought I'd start an Alan Dart thread, similar to the Jess Hutch, Jean Greenhowe, and World of Knitted Toys threads.

Here is "Cheese", the Alan Dart RSPCA Perfect Pets pattern in the latest (well, latest in Canada anyway) Simply Knitting magazine.

More pics and comments on my blog.

This dog was posted before, but I thought I'd include it here.  The pattern is Sirdar 2101.
27  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / need descriptions of Barbara Walker's Stitch dictionaries on: May 19, 2006 07:55:30 AM
I'm wondering if anyone could give me brief descriptions of Barbara Walker's stitch dictionaries.  Specifically, I'm looking for lace motifs (pictures made of lace), but I'd appreciate knowing the strengths of each Treasury.  For example, a knitter once told me that the Third Treasury (I think) was *the* source for slip stitch patterns.  Thanks in advance.
28  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Reclaimed failed projects and swatches on: May 19, 2006 05:51:45 AM
What can you do with failed projects and swatches? You can convert them to knitted graffiti, use them as rags, sew them into a blanket, or...

29  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Star Wars sweaters on: April 29, 2006 06:42:29 PM
Not made by me, but so cool I had to post it! My mum made Star Wars sweaters for my boys.

More pics here.  Yay for knitting grandmas!
30  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / anyone know of a pattern for a crocheted car? on: April 28, 2006 06:03:40 AM
My sister asked if I could crochet some cars for her, like the ones at this site:
http://www.anneclairepetit.nl/media/petbasis.htm

Anyone know of a pattern (preferably free)?
