1  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: Orange Beanie on: August 01, 2008 10:01:41 PM
Great hat.  I'm looking for a pattern right now because I'm headed camping next week.  Too bad I knit and not crochet.

I LOVE yellowstone.  It is my favorite place to be.  Looks like your photos are from the Artist Paint Pots.

Wow, those are amazing!  I love the purple.  I'm going to check into this crafty.  Thanks for introducing something new.  Do you recommend any instruction websites?
3  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Knit Hats on: July 15, 2008 08:12:12 AM
I've been in the hat knitting mood lately and thought I would post some recent projects.  The pattern for the baby hats is from Susan B. Anderson's Itty-Bitty Hats.  The adult hat pattern is free here:  http://www.crazyauntpurl.com/archives/2006/04/brangelina_1.php

There are more details on all the hats at my blog:  http://knittingsimple.blogspot.com/

4  UNITED STATES / Texas / Quilting - Houstonians? on: April 23, 2008 03:05:20 PM
I began quilting recently and I'm interested in hiring someone to quilt my tops.  Is there anyone that knows a place in Houston?  Also - what is the price range?

Thanks!

I've been knitting for awhile and decided to try a purse to give my sister.  I worked in the round and just made it up as I went.

6  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Small Hats on: April 22, 2008 06:39:29 PM
I've been knitting for a few years (self taught) but just recently gave hats a try.  I've finished a few w/ good results.  Here are two I've completed:

7  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / First Quilts & First Post on: April 21, 2008 09:23:05 PM
I recently decided to start quilting.  I normally jump right into new hobbies and this was no different.  I read some info online, bought some supplies and got started.  I've since finished 2 small quilts for my nephews.  I'm pleased with the outcome but still have A LOT to learn.  Here are the 2 quilts I've finished:

The Mickey Mouse quilt was for my 3 year old nephew, Hudson.  The blue one was for my 9 week old nephew, Clayton.

There's more details on my blog:  http://donotfencemein.blogspot.com/2008/04/learning-to-quilt.html

Very cute.  I'll need to knit one for my nephew.  He is due in February.  Eggplant could work for a boy, right?
10  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Super fast purses GREAT GIFT! on: December 15, 2007 10:19:34 PM
I just started cable knitting about 2 weeks ago.  It is totally easy.  I am in the middle of a cable knit sweater.  I've been looking for a great purse pattern so that I could make a gift for my sister.  I think this is the one.  I love the white w/ brown.  I think I will make one burnt orange b/c she goes to UT.
