1  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: High School Knitting Club! on: May 01, 2005 06:20:57 AM
When I was in high school (back in the dark ages) we had a little informal knitting club. A bunch of us would sit around in the hallway during free periods and knit or crochet or sew. My suggestion (among the myriad of things we didn't do) would be to find out who's in charge of clubs for your school and make it official. Then you should be entitled to dip into whatever funds are available for club supplies.

Not half as cute as your icon! Smiley
3  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: New Interweave Knits Summer on: April 28, 2005 05:13:05 AM
If you'd like a printout just PM me your address and I'll send one out in the post today Smiley.

Oh, and I'd just like to add, for copyright reasons, I'm sending you my copy of these patterns. I bought the magazine, bookmarked the shrugs, but I'm not going to be making any of them. I made myself one shrug this year and I've discovered that I'm not a shrug person. Smiley

The new issue is fabulous! I am rather disappointed that the shrug patterns are only available online because I lack a printer. Time to whip out the trusty ol' pen & notebook.

If you'd like a printout just PM me your address and I'll send one out in the post today Smiley.
5  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: I need a knitting needle case pattern! on: April 28, 2005 05:03:09 AM
On a related note, new Simplicity pattern 4542 is a pretty nifty set of knitting accessories.

See here.
6  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Stitch And BOTCH / Re: Id like everyone to take a moment and mourn the loss of the duct tape corset on: April 11, 2005 08:01:23 PM
Well....at least it didn't go as bad as my friend's duct tape dressform. I sent her the instructions and somehow she missed the part where you put on an old tee-shirt first. So she basically put duct tape all over her upper body. At least she didn't have to wax!

Very neat. It reminds me of the cocoon coats that were about 20 years ago or so....only cooler and meshier. Smiley

Wow, that really looks awesome. Tres Parisian!

And I love your kitty's "noooo mommy, it's miiiine" look. Who could resist those eyes!
9  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Are these sheep bloomers knit? on: January 28, 2005 08:36:44 PM
You could start with something like this and add the sheepies.

I've always liked Snack as a name for a fish. That's Snack as in Cat Snack.
