2  It's a Morning Glory Necklace! in Felting: Completed Projects by CaterpillarPeacock on: April 06, 2009 11:59:23 AM
So, here I am continuing my adventure into needle felting. I've been thinking about my mom's gardens lately and that always reminds me of the stunning morning glories she grows every year. Here's my homage:

It's 100% needle felted, no wires, or wet felting involved.

This has also been an adventure in photography for me, which has been pretty fun Smiley

Comments and stuff are always welcome and encouraged. Thanks for taking the time to check my stuff out.

3  It's a Calla Lily! Brooch!! in Felting: Completed Projects by CaterpillarPeacock on: March 23, 2009 01:35:39 PM
So, I'm officially addicted. Here's my latest needle felted creation a calla lily that is also a stylish brooch.

I really really like it Smiley It's entirely needle felted, I even felted to pin on the back while felting it all together. It's in there for good.

What do you think?

4  It's a cowgirl dress in Clothing for Curvaceous Craftsters: Completed Projects by CaterpillarPeacock on: March 19, 2009 01:50:00 PM
Hi all! I love that this section of craftster exists. It makes me happy. I attended a show at fashion week here in Toronto the other night and I made a dress for the occasion:

I knocked off a cowboy shirt that my boyfriend had to make the pattern for the bodice and then the bottom is a half circle skirt.

Sorry that the pictures are blurry and that there's not a full length picture, that one was just too blurry. Know that it goes down to just below my knees though Smiley

5  It's Ivy! That You Can Wear! in Felting: Completed Projects by CaterpillarPeacock on: March 19, 2009 10:13:57 AM
Hey everyone, I've been lurking around this board for a while, I'm normally just over at the crochet boards chatting it up. So here's my first post: Some needlefelted jewelery that I've been working on. A matching set, bracelet and necklace:

The bracelet, you can actually wrap it around your wrist twice, like this:

And the Necklace:

I really like them, and now I want to make a set that has some flowers on them Smiley

Comments welcome and appreciated.

6  It's a Tiny Fez!! in Crochet: Completed Projects by CaterpillarPeacock on: March 11, 2009 02:45:36 PM
Ta DA! here's my latest creation and addition to the Teeny Tiny Hat Family:

It's all single crochet, done in the round without joining. Then I just lightly felted this one, leaving some of the stitch definition.

Like?

7  It's a Purple Fish!! in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by CaterpillarPeacock on: March 08, 2009 11:45:28 AM
Here it is, the second fish my newest vision of ridiculousness.... And it's purple.

purple fish modeling for the camera

o!

Secrets.

The pattern is from Tiny Yarn Animals by the wonderful Tammie Snow. I'm planning on making a bunch of 'em in different colours and then filling a fish bowl with them.

8  It's a Teeny Tiny Beret (actually, there's a bunch of them!) in Crochet: Completed Projects by CaterpillarPeacock on: March 04, 2009 02:14:03 PM
Soo, I've been hard at work (well you know, not really work, mostly super awesome fun times) making these teeny tiny berets.

They're all done in single crochet, in the round and then I felt them in my washing machine to make them look all pretty.

I've also been experimenting with needlefelting for embellishments. What do you think??

9  It's a Red Fish! in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by CaterpillarPeacock on: January 31, 2009 01:25:34 PM
After finishing the afghan of doom/awesomeness I decided to kick back and make something simple and quick.

Over the holidays I bought the book, Tiny Yarn Animals by Tamie Snow from Roxycraft.com and I decided to tackle the goldfish pattern.

I'm so glad I did, 'cause I got this:

After finishing, I decided that it would be great to stuff a fish bowl FULL of these little suckers. It's gonna happen, yup.

10  It's a Tetris Afghan. in Crochet: Completed Projects by CaterpillarPeacock on: January 29, 2009 09:07:33 PM
This is the afghan that made me realize that I hate making afghans. I have so much respect for those who make these on a regular basis.

That's right it's a Tetris afghan! This was SUPPOSED to be a birthday present for my boyfriend, last April. Then it turned into an anniversary present when I hadn't finished by August. Now it's done done done, so, Valentine's? I think so.  Unfortunately, now that we live together I couldn't keep it a secret any longer, so he already has it. It's living on our wall.

Construction details:

It's made from Red Heart Soft worsted weight yarn. I tried to pick the colours according to the Nintendo DS version of Tetris since that's the version he plays. They're pretty close, except for the purple really. I used a G hook I believe.

The whole thing is constructed with granny squares made from double crochets, sooo many granny squares. I seamed the whole thing using the black yarn and single crochet. HARDCORE.

Now that I'm done all I can say is NEVER AGAIN.

Enjoy!

Edit: Featured on http://geekcrafts.com today!! thanks!
