so the other night when I couldn't sleep I found myself perusing craftster as usual, when I stumbled upon this! http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=349932.0 

I thought it was a grand idea, so I made one for myself.  I have a clear plastic case around my laptop, so I just sandwiched the collage between the case and the top.  hooray!

So, I was inspired by lishshop's post [[ http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=126655.0 ]]  It's pretty much amazing and totally something I would wear.  I finally decided to get off my lazy bum and make my own!  Here it is!

Okay, so, my mom's dad was in the Navy for a million years, and he's traveled the world.  Every time he'd go to a new country he'd bring her back a coin.  I happened upon this freaking amazing coin collection and bugged her until she gave me a few.  She refused to give me the really cool ones though, but oh well.  Here's what I made last night!!

This was me trying to be cool and take a neat picture.  It didn't exactly go over well.


This one is truer to color.  And no, it really doesn't hang that crooked.

The background is made of random stamps and black nail polish, if you were wondering.

My papa made this for me for Christmas [[I'm slow on posting, I know]]...it's a metal cattail!!!  Technically, though, it's made out of black iron.  I asked how he made it, but it made absolutely no sense to me...I say it was MAGIC! haha



I apologize for my bad photography skills...it really looks much cooler in person!

Mi Madre made this for me for Christmas this past year...she refused to pay    375$ for a "vintage reproduction".  Can't say I blame her there;  her's looks just as good too - if not better! 

She made it out of wooden dowels cut to different lengths, a round piece of plywood, a blind spot mirror from some auto shop, and gold spray paint - talk about thrifty!  In all I think it cost around 30$.

Hi guys!  So, I've been lurking here for a while, and I must commend you really crafty people!  Anywho, I get really bored at night and usually wind up making random and completely useless things;  I was feeling especially crafty the other night and dabbled into jewelry making...

I call this one "I'll love you til the end of time"  haha. get it?
