excellent project! perhaps adding casters/wheels might help out with draining and transport if it's too heavy?

"Maybe it was the Noid that should have avoided me..."

haha that reminds me of when my friends tell me they hate taking
the bus because crazy people start talking to them and in the back of mind
i think, "hm, i AM that crazy person that talks to people"

ps. i wish i had the Noid video game growing up *sigh*
4  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Avoid the Noids on: May 28, 2009 08:09:16 AM
I forgot all about these! I made them 3 years ago, one for me
and one for a friend who loves purple.

For those of you who are too young to remember,
The Noid used to be the Dominos Pizza mascot, kind of like
McDonalds' Hamburglar or the Trix rabbit. And if you STILL
can't remember that far back...He's the Lord Voldemort to Harry Potter's pizza Tongue

These are just made with felt and hot glue. The purple one has a whip stitch
to seal it but I wanted the red one sealed by glue.

Original Noid
5  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Re: Snow leopard on: June 13, 2008 07:35:09 AM
i don't know if this is a bit presumptuous of me, but
i hate it when pics or scans i take don't come out well and misrepresent the piece
so i took the liberty to save your pic, and adjust it in photoshop for you.
you may choose to use it or not but i thought you'd like to show off those eyes better.

good job!

7  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Badass McBloke Pierced Death Metal Sock Monkey on: April 17, 2008 08:07:16 AM
his grumpy disposition and piercings are a tribute
to my death metal days where guys, if they weren't
thrashing around, were standing around looking like
this, "enjoying" the show.

the piercings are simply key rings and the
eyebrows are small pieces of self-adhering velcro, enjoy!

8  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / upholstery cosmetics bag with random tattoo-style drawings on: April 02, 2008 04:50:21 PM
so i had an exam yesterday i was supposed to be
studying for so of course i found excuses to do
everything but. i had made the bag the other day
with some upholstery fabric samples i got free on craigslist
so i started drawing faces and i just kept going...
horror vacui at its worst! enjoy!

ps. drawn with standard ink pen (not ball point)

9  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / black scratchboard - clothespins and gorilla on: April 02, 2008 12:55:37 PM
for those of you who haven't used or have heard of scratchboard,
it's basically like a piece of posterboard (or clay) with a layer of
ink on it that you scratch/etch away with a tool with the fine tip
like that of a needle. it's really fun, but EXTREMELY tedious!
it's also a bit of a mind trip because you have think backwards...
you don't just draw the picture, you have to draw the negative of it
(light areas, instead of dark)

sorry the gorilla's kind of blurry, i am sans scanner right now
and my camera couldn't get it just right Undecided

10  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Re: BOOSKA overload! customized Munny and orange vinyl chair on: March 26, 2008 09:27:06 PM
i'm actually giving away the chair on craigslist. it'll be gone by tomorrow Sad
it takes up too much space in my tiny room.
i got it free, time to pass it on Smiley
