yea! i made my first ever wallet-from-scratch!! i used Babyangel's tut and it turned out soooo beautifully. (well, i'm proud of it!)
i did one pocket on the bottom, two in the middle and one zippered pocket at the top. the outer/pocket material was a skirt and the inner material was cut from a suit jacket. the flap closure was the bottom of the hem of a different skirt, with the ribbons already on and i fused, then sewed, satin ribbon to the back. i used a press-in snap closure, but after having used this for a week or so, i'm not sure how long the fabric will hold up.
let's see if i can get these pictures up here...
**here's the front. used a press-in snap closure - it looks off center, but i SWEAR i measured it!! (the ribbon detailing on the flap is wider on one side than the other.)
**closed, from the back.
**lying open, insides face down
**here are the guts!!
**yipee!! thanks, Babyangel, for your tutorial for this! my first-time-ever-perfect-zipper!
**i lined the pocket...i lined the pocket...i lined the pocket!!!! and it worked!
**this is all from my last (much larger) wallet. am i gonna be able to cram it all in?
**it does fit! (the wallet of holding...) my life in four pockets.
**how it all stacks up
**how i lurve a little wallet that will hold all my life in her ickle pockets...
sorry about the zillions of pictures! i'm just so proud.
tell me what you all think! (be honest, but not too mean...)
