1  Re: Witch/Wicca/Pagan Swap Round 7 Gallery! in The Swap Gallery by Whilow on: July 29, 2008 08:22:39 AM
I completely forgot about the flooding.  That could have very well been the problem.

Alright, on with the copious amounts of pictures. Smiley

This is everything.  Look at all that stuff.

There is a BoS that locks filled w/pages, 2 spell books, 1 funny book (SO loves this one Smiley), a deck of divination cards that I will have to give a go, 5!! candle holders (love the one that looks like wood Smiley), a groovy journal that she decorated with contains neat paper inside (forgot to take a picture of that & the back also), a tiny little broom, a very cool box that will be perfect to hold my pendulum, 2 drawstring bags, and a fertility spell box.

Look at all those pages in the BoS.

She also put in a wooden bookmark with a cat cut out.  You can see it in this picture.  It's so cute. Smiley

The fertility box is very cool because she wrote me a very hands on spell.  It's unfinished, and it's up to me to complete it.

I thank you.

Wilbur thanks you.

And, Eloura thanks you.

Pan would thank you but he is camera shy. Smiley

2  Traveler's protection in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by Whilow on: February 15, 2008 09:04:13 AM
I have a friend who is about to head off to Japan for a year, and he asked me to make him something to protect him on his travels.  This is what I came up with.

Outside

Inside

It is made of an Altoid type tin, but it is slightly smaller.  The symbol on the outside (for you non-gamers) is the symbol for the god Fharlanghn from D&D.  He is the god of horizons, distance, travel, and roads.  Since my friend is part of our gaming group, what better way to protect him (my boyfriend's idea). Smiley  And, I even made him a little Godzilla to play with which fits in the box.  Now my boyfriend wants a Godzilla of his own. Smiley

The inside has his home town on the top and where he is going on the bottom.  This will help protect him on his trip there, on his trip back, and whenever he is in these actual locations.

Thanks for looking! Smiley

3  Really late Christmas gifts in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by Whilow on: February 06, 2008 10:00:37 AM
I made these note pads for my coworkers yesterday when we were out for Mardi Gras.  They were suppose to be Christmas/Hanuka presents, but I got sidetracked.  They are made from a recycled garment box and used office paper.  I bound them with embroidery floss and drew the initials with sharpies.  This was my first attempt at book binding; fun but hard on the hands. Smiley

Thanks for looking.

4  Amber and Jet Necklace/Bracelet in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by Whilow on: January 09, 2008 08:44:37 AM
I made this for my sister's birthday last August.  It is pretty simple, but I like it.  The pendant was a piece of raw amber that I polished and wired wrapped.  My wire wrapping skills are not that great, but you have to start somewhere. Smiley

(Still can't figure out this picture posting thing, sorry.)

5  CD holder for the car in Completed Projects by Whilow on: January 09, 2008 08:28:15 AM
I found this http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=45189.0 and thought I would give it a try.

It's a little wonky, but it's been a while since I've sewed anything.  And, that yellow fabric turned out to be a little on the stretchy side.

This is the back.  I put little buttons on the straps to make it looked finished, but they close with Velcro.

This is for my friends sister-in-law.  She has a VW bug, and likes lady bugs.  So, I decided to use this fabric that I've been hoarding for years.  The yellow is a table cloth that my grandmother gave me that I will never use.  I should have gone with another color now that I look at it; it kind of looks like a bumble bee. Smiley

(Sorry about posting links and not pictures; I am not very good at this internet programing stuff.)

Edit:  Used diffenent photo hosting.
