hey everyone.  My sister is graduating from music school and we are going to her recital next week.  I made her this photo album as a gift.  There aren't any pictures in it yet, my mom has them:)

ok, here's the tutorial:
Start with two peices of fabric, each about 7x8 inches.  I didn't use any kind of facing but if you want to, I would recommend connecting it to the fabric now and then just follow the instructions treating the layer of fabric and facing as a single layer

With right sides together, stitch along the long side.  If you want to use a ribbon loop for closure, this is the seam where it would go.

Open and stitch seam allowance down if you like

with wrong sides facing up, iron over the seam allowances on the two other long sides

turn right side up and fold each end up 2 1/2 inches (these are your pockets)

fold in half so right sides are facing and pockets are inside

Stitch along the two short sides

turn right side out

turn right side out again so all of the liner fabric is inside.  it should look like this

sew the opening shut.  i just do this on the machine but if you don't want stitching showing you could do this by hand

I made a button hole to close...here is the finished product
