for the lace one, I put the red lady (button) in first. then just laid the lace on the back of the resin and pushed it in very slightly so it was also covered in resin. It makes a nice back drop and fun to use! I'll put up more today probably of my second and third trys with resin. vidi
so this one of my first cakes ever besides the usual box cakes. It is gluten free as gluten and I are NOT friends! Rolling out the fondant was hard because I do not have a rolling pin, so I used a Saki jar lol. I will get better with practice I'm sure, it is quite fun and tastey!
thanks everyone! I think it's the prettiest blue I ever did see. The gal at the paint store was very excited to mix it. She said she usually just deals with beige!
I sanded everything down, then painted it with Beur paint using a sponge/foam brush. (makes for a smoother finish). Then I stenciled with stencil cream and sealed the whole thing with clear sealant (about 6 coats).
