3  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Easter / Booboo Bunnies on: March 22, 2008 06:19:14 PM

My Sons K-class made these at their Easter party. He loved it so much that he wanted to make some more. The light blue one is the one he made in school.  They can be use to hold an Easter egg or when the little have an Booboo you can put a piece of ice it.

Really simple to make. Take a wash cloth folded from corner to make a triangle. Roll tightly from the top point to long edge. (I took used thread, but the kids used a rubber band to make the head and body. ) Fold in half, and take the thread or rubber band and  wrap it around about 2/3 way down from the ears. Fold the ears back on the body and pull one of the rubber band bands up and over to make face. If using thread make sure you cut a long enough piece to tie the body and then tie around the ears to make face and tie a bow.   The kids use ribbon to make a bow to hide the rubber band.
then glue eyes, nose and cotten tail on.
4  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Valentine's Day / V-day wreath on: February 14, 2008 01:53:29 PM
I made this last year and went to pull it out last week end and thought I should share it with you all today.  It was fun to make and I made one for fall and Christmas.  Need one for the spring/summer time for the door.

All in the world it is:

one wire ring 12"
yard and a half of fabric cut or ripped in to 1" X 7" strips
ribbon for the bow

then you tie the stips on to the ring

5  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Sock Monkey Brothers on: December 24, 2007 08:04:18 PM

This is my first project post. Hope it works.

When my eldest son was small he took his sock monkey every where he went. Now that he is 23 he wanted another sock monkey.  I made one, then my B/F said he wanted one and I had to make one for my 5 year old. Looks like I may be going in to business here.  They are so fun to make. I do want to branch out in to wilder socks, going to have to wait till after the holidays.

This is the first one:

and here are the boys dressed to go to thier new owners.

Sorry for the crummy pics. but just had to share.
