What kind of fabric are you making these out of to make them water proof? These way cute!

Thank you so much. I found that pattern last night and start one about 11pm last night using cotten thread. I now wish I had used a smaller needle. But I think I can make it work.

First off I want to tell you how pretty you DWR is. My hat is off to you.

Eight or nine years ago I made a Double Wedding Ring Quilt using a pattern from Quilters Cache. It in fact was my very first quilt and lets just say not one, one should start off with.  So now after all this time Im going to do another one, but this time I'm going to try the paper pieced arcs.  I have made 3 arcs so far and I will say it is much easier. We will see how the rest goes together.

I love this! I have a grandbaby coming in May.  This would be so cool to make for her.  My daughter in law kind of beats to a differant drummer. So I can see were I can really have some fun with this.  One question though, how will they wash?

A lot of cigar shops sell the boxes. I'm lucky enough to get my boxes from my father and from a place called JR's (in North Carolina)

I used a  free pattern from Lions brand. The pattern was call "Beach Bag" .  Now I only used it for the basic pattern and made it my own. But there is lots of good purse patterns on there.
