I've been experimenting with cloth pads for about a year and I just love them! I just finished making a ton of reusable cloth pads. I used old sweaters and tshirts for the insides and wrapped some cool printed cotton or a bandana around it to finish it. I've made about 11 in the past couple days and plan to make a lot more.

Haha, this reminds me of that episode of South Park with the Cherokee hair tampons lol. But seriously, this sounds cool. I've been using cloth pads for over a year now, and although I can't knit or crochet, but I'll keep my eye out for reusable tampons.

I want to make a tote bag out of magazines or some other garbage, but i have a problem. I don't know how to attach 2 sets of strips together. If I only use the one set of strips, it's too small. The Ecoist makes these rather large portfolio sized bags, and I can't figure out how they do it using candy wrappers.



I know I can't really explain myself that well, but any advice would really help me.

I'm looking for some advice (well duh!) Has anyone here cut their own hair, and had it been a success? I don't mean just the bangs, but the rest of the head as well. If you did, could you please share any tips or tricks?

i had black before but my hair was super short and spikey. i just dont want to do the color and hate it. my hair is dark brown rigth now i just want others opinions. thanks!!

You have fair skin and blue eyes, so i don't think jet black would look that flattering. It might just wash you out. Maybe try a dark red or dark blue?

Hi, i know there have probably been a lot of posts asking what to do with old jeans, but i'm really stumped. I don't want to turn them into a bag or pillow, i wan't to be able to make them into a skirt or something. I don't have any pics of them, but they were dark blue and have faded to various shades. They are naturally distressed and lightened in some spots, and are getting thin and holey around the butt. I want to be able to use the fading to create something cool. I like the look of doing some sort of piecy, patchworky like design, like these:

how new is the stain? you might be able to use some cold water and salt to get it out.

I've been growing out a bad haircut for a while, and now I'm ready to get it restyled. My hair is thick, slightly wavy, but I straighten it. I really liked this girl's cut. She has similar hair to mine. She has a side part with bangs swiping arcoss to the side, layers around the face, and slightly layered in the back and teased in the back. I especially love the teasing in the back, because it reminds me of the mod styles of the 1960s. I really want it, but i don't know if it'll turn out right.
