1  Woven magazine purse in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions by TheLizardQueen on: April 30, 2007 11:09:19 AM
I want to make a tote bag out of magazines or some other garbage, but i have a problem. I don't know how to attach 2 sets of strips together. If I only use the one set of strips, it's too small. The Ecoist makes these rather large portfolio sized bags, and I can't figure out how they do it using candy wrappers.

I know I can't really explain myself that well, but any advice would really help me.

2  old faded jeans-don't wanna throw away in Clothing: Discussion and Questions by TheLizardQueen on: October 14, 2006 08:50:20 AM
Hi, i know there have probably been a lot of posts asking what to do with old jeans, but i'm really stumped. I don't want to turn them into a bag or pillow, i wan't to be able to make them into a skirt or something. I don't have any pics of them, but they were dark blue and have faded to various shades. They are naturally distressed and lightened in some spots, and are getting thin and holey around the butt. I want to be able to use the fading to create something cool. I like the look of doing some sort of piecy, patchworky like design, like these:

if anyone has any pics or suggestions to help me, I'd really love it.

3  Re: Show off your hair! And questions about hair styles! in Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions by TheLizardQueen on: July 31, 2006 02:41:15 PM
I've been growing out a bad haircut for a while, and now I'm ready to get it restyled. My hair is thick, slightly wavy, but I straighten it. I really liked this girl's cut. She has similar hair to mine. She has a side part with bangs swiping arcoss to the side, layers around the face, and slightly layered in the back and teased in the back. I especially love the teasing in the back, because it reminds me of the mod styles of the 1960s. I really want it, but i don't know if it'll turn out right.

4  A beginner starting first project in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Discussion and Questions by TheLizardQueen on: July 05, 2005 02:27:41 PM
Ok, so what I'm planning to do is make dolls of the Beatles, that look like this:

The bad thing is, I cannot find a good coloured felt for the skin. The ones that I see are either to yellow or to brown, and I don't even know where to begin and what part of the body to start with. Would I have to use felt or yarn for the hair? What stores sell a wide selection of felt colours, but at a resonable price( 2 for 1$) Any help for a beginner would be appreciated
