Very cool! I've been looking for a good adhesive... I too want to expand my shrinky dink arsenal. But the idea with these is just great!

These are so awesome! I make shrinky dink jewelry too but yours are so much cooler. How do you trace them on the computer?

Cute! Sweater recons are my absolute favorite! I'm glad you don't have my disease of always cutting the sleeves short... the idea is always to make something warm and I always end up cute but cold.

317  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Mrs. Weasley's Clock!! (a bit heavy on the images) on: January 07, 2008 07:07:31 PM
I'm so completely proud of this.

I've wanted to make a Weasley clock for a while, ever since I found out you could buy the movie versions online.. but I didn't want to pay that much and I found them to be kind of ugly. So I made my own!

sorry the next is upside-down I forgot to flip the photo..

and a weird side-view to show how the hands stick off..

I made the flags, portraits, and location labels in Photoshop Elements 4.0 (if you've never used a version that crappy you have no idea what I went through) and I mod podged them to a clock I had got at Michael's for $10 and painted green. The hands were purchased at my good old family-owned craft store (the big ones didn't have them) for about $1.60 a pair. It's a bit hard to read the flags and see the portraits because of the glare but in real life it looks fine. So all in all I came in under what I would have paid for the official version and I think mine is cuter too. Smiley
318  COOKING / Dessert / VOLDECUPCAKE on: January 05, 2008 12:03:02 PM
I threw a Harry Potter party two summers ago and went crazy with foods from the books. I also made cupcakes to look like some of the characters, based on witch cupcakes I found in one of my mom's cookbooks. Sadly, all of the pictures were lost when my computer died, except this one because it was saved somewhere else. Behold: Voldecupcake!

I probably should mention that when I was really little and read the books, in my mind Voldemort always had a purple face and red slitty eyes. The cone is supposed to be like a pointed witch's hat.. it made sense when it was around the Harry, Ron, Hermione, etc. ones.

I really like those birds! Are the ones on the wall paper? How did you attach them?
