1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: J Darko , or epic 2 and a half weeks of circles on: January 31, 2010 01:08:05 PM
Wow! It looks like a texture similar to fish scales ... love it! Very pretty. And 60 hours making the circles, omg! I would've gone mental, I'm crazy impatient working on my sewing projects.
As for the number of them, I'm guessing 180-200 circles (please update soon with the number!).
I also want to know is how heavy it is!

Ah, I'm feeling inspired to make a dress like this myself!

7  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Re: My attempt(s) at the weave/cage/rib/knitted tshirt recon! on: August 04, 2009 04:00:22 AM
Oh my god! They are all so awesome, even your 'test pieces'--and this was your first recon? Whoa, dude.
I kind of wonder about the second one, the one with the knitted back (so completely awesome)? How did you ... do it, exactly? I can sort of see loads of tiny strips cut horizontally out from the back, and then 'knitted' with a crochet hook ... but it still ... it baffles me! Especially the scooped back it produces ... seriously, you've got skills.

Ah, but anyways ... fantastic recon--you should be proud! And make sure to wear your piece often!

Fabulous.
