My best friend is pretty hard to shop for.  She's butch, rides her bike everywhere and loves to cook.

So I decided to decoupage a recipe box for her. 

I bought a unfinished box from Michaels for 1.99.  Instead of painting it, I used Old English to stain it so it looked a bit more classy.

Then I printed out a bunch of pin-ups (using my super nice printer at preg_replace('/(.{19})/', '$1 ', 'work....shhhhhh...don')'t tell my boss).





This is my first time doing mod podge stuff.  I love it!

Those are really cool.  Once I get some fabric, I'm going to attempt this.

What a cool idea!   It's very original and I like the way you displayed them.  They look kitchy and classy at the same time.

My favorite is the lemon / oatmeal.  I'm going to definately try this if I can track down a reciepe somewhere.
