I feel like I've been a bad parner....(sorry sew-amy ). But the boy (my long suffering partner) has been kicking me off the webs so he can use some programs his 'bot won't run...but I'm stitching along fine...and I had a crazy flash of inspiration to do some thing wild (well I think it's wild) but I'm waiting to see how the wind blows....I may just have to save it for another time...

Oh Kimieye,   I am so happy you are still here and you are ok.  I could just give you a big ((((((((((hug))))))).   You stitch what ever you feel you can.  If you are feeling adventurous.....the n I say go for it.    I hope you have a fabulous Halloween!!  Let us know what you end up dressing up as.  I love Halloween too.

I am getting a little worried.  I haven't heard from my partner since Oct 14th.  I sent her a PM Monday or Tuesday and she hasn't responded.  Should I be worried?  I got burned last time I did a swap so I was nervous going into this swap anyway.  Maybe I am over reacting and that's why.  I have finished my stitching for her hoop, but I don't want to send to her until I've heard from her.

I finished the stitching last night! But I now think I need a different size hoop to make it look the best.  So I won't be hooping it up until I can find that size at the store. 

whats the best way to wash a piece? I know to iron from the back, but Im not sure how to get my pencil marks out 

I've never been able to get regular pencil marks out.  If someone knows a way, I'd love to know.

so happy there are pictures in the gallery now.  It's like Christmas!   Both hoops are awesome.

checking in:  about 2/3's of the way finished.  This is going to be a rough week though,  may not get to stitch any. I have a Chemistry test Friday that is eating my stomach away.

my daughter and her friend came to me and told me they needed Thing 1 and Thing 2 made for them......so my hoop is off on the side burner for a bit!!

craftyoctober,  your stain stitch is wonderful.

I have started on my partner's but am thinking of changing it now.  I am going to working on it a little more tonight and see if I like it any better.

I use a colonial knot instead of a french knot.  I think it is easier to make. 

I have heard that Thread Heaven is wonderful, but haven't tried it yet.  I may have to get some.

I am a bit nervous. I don't know what to stitch yet. I am so scared she won't like it.
