1  CRAFTSTER CRAFT CHALLENGES / Craftster Craft Challenge Theme Ideas, Etc. / [ACCEPTED] A "get back to nature" challenge on: June 13, 2009 04:39:24 PM
Something along the lines of using natural things in the crafting process such as: leaves, twigs, wood, wool, rocks, grass, sand, clay, ect. I'd also say make it where a certain percentage of the piece has to be of natural materials.

Anybody else up for that?
2  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Re: resin badges - serial killers - epic fail lol on: June 13, 2009 10:08:30 AM
I actually think they look fine. They look really distressed, gritty, and distorted..which kind of contributes to the "serial killer" aspect to me.

Oh gah, the first song I imagined him dancing to was that techno song from Strong Bad's Emails on homestarrunner.com. The system is down! The system is down! Cheesy

For the uninitiated Wink:

5  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / Ramen? on: October 12, 2008 06:34:47 PM
Ok, I'm poor right now and I bought some ramen noodles and cup-o-soup things to save. Well, I knew they were bad for you, but after eating a delicious chicken cup-o-soup I looked at the label and realized I basically ate a cup-o-sodium (1550 mgs! Shocked ). So, I've been on a quest today to find the stuff to make my own ramen and well..I've found my low sodium broth base and freeze dried veggies (both of which have a really long shelf life and the price works out to be cheaper than cup-o-soup), but...the noodles? I do like the consistency of the instant ramen and their...curliness, but I want the air dried variety since they have less fat and are generally supposed to be better for you. I've searched all the online asian grocery stores I could find, but I have no clue what type of noodles I need to be looking for because plain "ramen" noodles don't pop up (soba, somen, udon???). Not to mention, I don't read japanese/chinese/korean/ect. Can anyone help me out here?

I've done a tiny bit of scroll saw work before and just couldn't get the kind of intricacy I wanted with the equipment I was using (not that I knew exactly what I should be using anyway..lol). What kind of saw/blades did you work with?

I have drooled over your work for a while now and I'm always amazed at the shapes and designs you create.

Do you use a laser cutter to make these?

Redheads look great in green. Take Marcia Cross at the Emmys for example:

We're awesome. High-five!

I love origami cranes. I made some huge ones for Christmas ornament gifts last year..big hit.

Ok, I just wanted to say that if you look at this picture on the main page icons it looks kind of like a baboon with a beard. Come on ya'll. Can't you see it? The orange crane on the right is the nose?! Right?!?!  Cheesy haha

I'm not kidding, it totally does lol
