1  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Crochet ami bat pattern? on: April 15, 2008 04:40:45 PM
I have looked high and low for one. I don't even mind paying for one. I've found plenty of flat 2d bat patterns, but I really want one that's 3 dimensional. I can find bunnies and cats and even rats, but no bats. Sad I'm proficient at crochet, I just can't make up a pattern for dolls or toys. Help! My son is getting sadder by the day. He asked me 2 weeks ago for a little bat friend. Sad

3  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Summer sweat/headband on: February 27, 2005 08:41:35 PM
Help! A friend of mine asked me to make him a sweat/headband for the summer. It has to be able to wick away moisture yet not be too hot. Does anyone have any suggestions about what pattern or yarn I should use? Any suggestions would be greatly apperciated.  Huh

5  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / It has a hole in it! on: February 12, 2005 09:07:55 AM
Has anyone else had someone ask you why there is a hole at the top of handknit hats? My mother-in-law was lokking through some of my (many) hats and she promptly told me that quite a few of them have a hole at the top. I tried to explain to her that in some patterns you do wind up with a small hole at the top. I even tried to show her some pictures from my knitting books and magazines but she wouldn't listen. She said that any of the knit hats that she owns(all store bought) are completely closed at the top. Now I am begining to think that maybe I am the only one who winds up with a small hole at the top of my hats. Am I? I did teach myself how to knit so maybe I am doing something wrong. Please someone, anyone, tell me that I'm not the only one.
6  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Knit or Crocheted pants? on: September 02, 2004 02:15:27 PM
First of all, hi, I'm new, and I have to say I love Craftster SOOOO much! Anyways, I was wondering if anyone had a knitting or crochet pattern for adult pants. I've done a bunch of internet searches but all I come up with are patterns for kids or Barbie and sadly, even though I am short, I am not that short. I've seen skirts and even shorts, but being new to knitting and crochet I'm not thrilled with the idea of trying to alter a pattern. Please help! Thanks!
