2  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Amigurumi Pop-Tart! on: February 01, 2008 07:58:30 AM
This is a total no brainer. But, I had never seen one before, and the idea came to me while making breakfast the other day.

I think next time I might add sprinkes or something. My kids love it!

3  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Pocket Scarf on: January 31, 2008 08:54:21 PM
My aunt works at a clothing store and she was telling me about the pocket scarf's they got in, so I had to make one for myself in my favorite colors.

I used Vanna's Choice Olive & Purple.

I wanted to make the pockets deep enough for my whole hand to fit in, and so things won't fall out easily. And, it's a great alternative to mittens.

Sorry, the pics are a bit dark.

4  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Shell scarf and a couple others on: January 13, 2008 05:46:09 PM
I've had a few questions about the scarf I'm wearing in pic in another thread, so hear it is!   Cheesy

I got the pattern in a "Crochet Made Easy" booklet that I got a Walmart for just under $3.

I used about 1 and a half skein of Vanna's Choice "Brick"

I made this for my DH's best friend for Christmas. It was made out of some left overs that my SIL gave me.

I made this for my cousin. I single crosheted it so the colors would be striped and not splotchy. It's Red Heart "Watercolors".

Thanks for looking!  Wink

5  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / My attempts at a Vintage-esque Cloche on: January 12, 2008 03:52:31 PM
I was inspired by dani.ELLE's  "Vintage-esque Cloche" that I decided to make some of my own.

I didn't use a pattern, I just went for it. Mine ended up more like beanie than a bell Cloche shape. Mine are also a bit plain. I didn't have a ton of buttons to choose from and I life to keep color combos simple, it's just my preference.

I LOVE them! Not too bad for only crocheting for 3 weeks.    Wink

My prototype

My favorite! I wear it everywhere

I made this to wear to my Great Aunt's funeral that was yesterday.

7  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / I need "how to" websites - I'm a beginner on: December 13, 2007 07:10:55 AM
I'm working on making my first crochet project (a scarf) and it a single chain pattern (I hope that's the right term), and it's super easy and simple.

So, I've seen so many amazing things on here that I would love to attempt, but I have no idea what any of the patterns mean or how to do anything. Does any one know of any websites that have very clear instructions with photos or videos? I'm a visual person and really need to see it to understand it.

Thanks for helping a newbie    Wink

I would like some cutom tags to sew in to the inside of the bags I make and I was wondering if anyone could give me some recommendations of where to get them from?

TIA!
