33  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Canned Lila Berries and other canned goodies [img heavy] on: December 24, 2007 04:24:03 PM
I'm very new to crochet but I do have a legacy of a super crocheting grandma so i picked it up very quickly Wink
i made these lila berries for my best friend and put them in a recycled can so they became CANNED LILA BERRIES!

i also made her a scarf, my first one, came out ok, although she had the idea to add pon pons to the ends, which i'm now working on.

i also made canned baby melons for my sis,

and a canned octopode for dad, his name is Ed!
[pattern found here http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=114316.0

finally crochet mary janes for mom and sis, and crochet slippers for dad
i was busting my head trying to find a way to make them non slip so i just bought a really tacky bath mat with dolphins(!) cut out hearts and stuck them on with a hot glue gun, let's see how it works out, tomorrow when they open them up!

34  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / "neck warmer" and sleeves on: December 05, 2007 02:17:00 PM
so while i was visiting the clan over thanksgiving i finished my "neck warmer" and one sleeve to match, am working on the second sleeve now.
check it out.

it's worked in garter stitch in the beginning and end and stockinette in the middle, with 5 1/2mm size needles, and then instead of sewing it together I did a three needle bind off!(very proud of myself for that)
