One of our favorite websites Threadbanger produced this great video showing you how smart and easy reupholstery can be with a few tools and a little practice.

8  UNITED STATES / North Carolina / Re: Charlotte on: December 30, 2007 02:53:49 PM
Speaking of Lincolnton, North Carolina (about 30 minutes NW of Charlotte, between Gastonia and Hickory) there is a nice big fabric shop near downtown's Court Square.

Ledford's Upholstery and Fabrics
202 W Pine St
Lincolnton, NC , 28092-2159
Phone: 704-732-0233

He has a decent selection of durable fabrics throughout several buildings (4 or 5?)
including fringe, tassels, poly foam, batting, etc. He also has an entire room full of leather hides and cuttings. The leather is also decent quality. They will also reupholster that vintage lounge you found at the habitat store.

His leather and fabric are not as high-end as what I offer, but Ledford's is an established and popular destination for crafters, designers, and decorators. I go there often to get ideas on marketing fabric, upholstery, and crafting bags and pillows.

Thanks for telling us about City Art Works in Charlotte. We love the concept of such a gift store! We will definitely pay a visit. . .
