almost 8 yo DD loves all things monkey so her quilt had to be monkey themed.  And I couldn't resist the cute sock monkey fabrics.  It is a simple tie quilt.  Gotta hold up to lots of washing.  So here it is:

My next project was a piratey quilt.  Hope to get those pics up soon too. 

OK so my simple attempts at quilting, all tie quilts, are nowhere near as beautiful or intricate as lot of the ones posted here.  But my dd who is about to turn 6 this week really wanted one so I made her one as part of her Christmas gift.  Cupcakes are her signature thing.  SHe loves them, so of course that had to bethe theme.  Anyway here are a few pics of my 1st finished quilt. 

  Ihad a hard time getting a pic of the whole thing.  It is a bit of an oversized twin.
