1  Scrapbooking Calander--Baby Deacon's Year of Firsts ;) in Completed Projects by mcmadison on: March 22, 2008 09:25:32 AM
Im nearly due and I have had absolutely no energy but I managed to finish a couple of projects in the knick of time...

I did all 12 months but only posted 6/12 pics the other 6 use origami birds...

The calander will run from when Baby Deacon is born in April 2008-April 2009...

I will add a monthly picture on the decorative side of each respective moth and add smaller festive pictures and milestone pictures on the calander part..i.e. babys first bath, coo, smile, tooth, christmas, etc.  enjoy!!!

2  Iced Luminaries..IMAGE HEAVY in Completed Projects by mcmadison on: December 24, 2007 01:16:46 PM
I saw this idea on the web and once on here under weding centerpiece Ideas.  We usually do regular bag luminaries on the sidewalk on Christmas eve and new year's eve.  I finally gave these a shot.

Now I just have to find the correct solution/ratio of sugar to water i think in order to make the ice balls really concentrated so they melt slower.  It is not that cold down here in GA. Wink

4  Re: Who did their own flowers? in Weddings and Bridal Showers by mcmadison on: December 20, 2007 06:19:02 PM
We used fake latex-y magnolias from Michael's with real Magnolia Leaves, which we left in the bathtub to keep their color, in the pew bows and in two large vases (from old time pottery) at front of churt.  We used crystal bouquets and bouts.  And iced branced centerpieces and colored marbles in glass vases with floating flower candles on mirrors during the reception.  We set everything up day of--but I had an evening wedding (6:30)

5  Re: interracial wedding cake topper? in Weddings and Bridal Showers by mcmadison on: December 20, 2007 05:45:51 PM
I had to search for the same thing.  I found a few things on similar sites on the internet as previously mentioned.  I also found these cute bubblegum figures that you buy individually to make a set.  We put them in gift baskets to give to both sets of parents.

my crystal bouquets and magnolias were my flower (b/c they were in season at the time)

Our fist dance to of course...Etta James' At Last

You prob can't see, but I gave out "Our Favorite Things" themed marble magnet sets to the guests at our rehearsal dinner.

Hope you can see the pics okay, I am still relatively new to this. I had a completely Dot Com wedding b/c I got married fresh out of college in a small town.  We made a lot, but I feel it still look quite posh.  I was lost in love... Still am Wink

You inspired my cards and gift tags this year as well.  Mine are two sided, and some that i won't be mailing have foam borad in the middle for weight and depth.  Thanks for the cute idea.
