11  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Make-A-Friend Swap Gallery on: March 04, 2008 06:58:44 PM
I received from jojo_modjo and I am still in awe of her awesomeness!!!  After a horrible day and being sick on top of everything else, nothing made me happier than seeing this box on my doorstep... Well, except for opening it all!!!  Onto the photos of crafty goodness! Cheesy

Everything all together- it was wrapped in that super-cute cherry houndstooth paper (which is being saved for future use) Wink

I was totally spoiled!  I got some terrific home made cards and note paper with envelopes (how much do you love the zebra stripes?  Answer: LOADS!)  The most amazing charm bracelet- yes, it says "Annie" in SHRINKY DINKS!!!  Plus, cute star and dice earrings, and an amazing necklace made just for me in the style I wisted (Jo, you totally rock my socks off)!!!  Plus, so my bag doesn't get jealous, an awesome zipper pull that matches everything!  She totally nailed it, I am so impressed!

I also received Miko Cat lipgloss, which is indeed very Raspberrylicious!  My FAVORITE body butter from The Body Shop- Satsuma, yum- orange-tastic!  Some orange scented home-made jigsaw soaps, and a wonderful Honey Oatmeal soap!  They smell sooo good!  She also sent me some Malteasers Hot Chocolate, which I can't wait to try.  Plus, a great journal (which I fully intend on filling up), some adorable stainless steel magnets (I LOVE them!!!), and some frog wall transfers!

Thanks Jo!!!  You are so awesome!   Grin  Everything was really incredible and I'm lucky to have such an amazing partner!!!  I just hope you love everything as much as I LOVE my package!!!  Can't wait for the 2nd package!

Grin  YES!!!  They do have her here, I think that's Maya the Bee... Can you tell I watch way too many cartoons?  Wink

Awesome job on the bags- nothing worse than a crumb bum!  Ha ha ha! Roll Eyes
13  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Make-A-Friend Swap (01-01 to 01-27) SIGNUPS ARE CLOSING EARLY!! on: January 25, 2008 12:56:57 PM
My husbands a total enabler who will go "Are you sure you don't want to buy a few more?", "Want to go shopping for yarn to cheer up?" "I bought you this book thinking it was something you may have wanted"

Ha Ha!  Aren't enabler's the best?!   Grin  My boyfriend just bought me a pretty hefty order of yarn from Knit Picks... Although, I think he has an ulterior motive- if there's yarn and sticks in my hand I can't play video games!  It works out, he gets to roll stuff up with his Katamari without having to worry about me stealing the controller, and I get my yarn addiction fix and background noise/seizure inducing video games!!!  It evens out, I think.  Although, he still can't quite understand why I need more yarn when, as he so poignantly put it, "you have a huge basket RIGHT THERE!"  This was followed by me desperately trying to justify said basket (a futile effort)... And him laughing hysterically for a good 15 minutes at my expense!  Embarrassed

Can't wait to get my yarn... I have so many wonderful ideas for my "small things," but we'll see if they ever pop out of my head and onto my needles.  I'm so psyched!!!   Cheesy

Holy Cow!  I have been trying to find time in between my stinky new job training to catch up- I only had about 30 pages to read!!!  Awesome!  I can't wait to get started, and have even gotten some stationery items out of the way (Yes, I AM patting myself on the back)!  I think it's those "small" things that are really putting my brain in meltdown mode!  I have crafter's block, big time!  It shall pass, I'm not too worried.  How exciting to see so many people in this swap- I'm super psyched about my partner and actually having a reason to write letters instead of emails!  HOORAY!!!  Smiley
