For starters I'm a HUGE Star Wars geek. Second I've been lurking around here for ages and this year had to go all out and try something more fun. So this year I was a Wampa from Star Wars: Empire Strikes Back! They all said I was crazy and half way through I started to believe them.
I've never really done much sewing before but I got so excited about this idea I just HAD to do it. I just made a rough sketch of what I wanted it to look like and went from there. The top was a bit of a pain and the skirt was a touch longer than I wanted but it was so cold this year I decided to leave it that way, I may shorten it later on.
The horns are just tinfoil attached to a hair band covered in paper mache and painted. I was worried it wouldn't stay but I just pinned it into my hair and it never moved.
It was a blast to wear, even if we did get 6 inches of snow the Saturday before Halloween (hence the leggings and boots)
