Just sent in my questionnaire--thanks for organizing DesignVigilante, I've been excited about this one for a while, as I've been low on samples to send with my orders for some time!

Oh Kster, I'm so sorry! I second what hippie4yahweh said--just about everyone these days has a digital camera (and if not, film is pretty cheap for old-school folks!) and with lots of people taking pics you'll definitely have the night captured in all the candid/funny/touching moments.
Good luck in the home stretch, and keep us posted!

HeartOn, it's beautiful, and suits you perfectly!
45  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Weddings and Bridal Showers / Re: Easy Fan Programs -- with Tutorial on: February 17, 2009 06:05:40 AM
The fans look awesome! The activities on the back are a nice touch. What did you use to print the programs? (Was it another of your Gocco projects?) I may have to use your idea for my beach wedding Smiley
46  CLOTHING / Clothing Sewalongs / Re: quickie dress that anybody can make - Infinity Dress and link to tutorial on: February 13, 2009 05:55:31 AM
The dress looks great, and the color suits you!

Thanks for all the input! It looks like B is the front runner (also the one my mom likes best, too, from the pics I sent her. yes, you guys were second only to my mother in seeing my wedding dress! ). Sadly I am without my implements of doom (AKA craft supplies) here so I have to wait another few weeks before I get home to play around with the dresses, but I will definitely keep you guys posted on the progress!!
48  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Weddings and Bridal Showers / Re: Love your wedding? Then show off your photos here! on: February 09, 2009 06:52:28 AM
thekster, thanks! It's not the same photo place--we're getting a photographer on-island for the wedding. (which will be a little closer than shanghai, fortunately! ) Maybe you could entice your sister's friend to do some before shots with some crafty goodies?

Ok...twist my arm, why don't ya...  Wink Please excuse the messy headless shots.

A B C
A- soft fluffy poly material
B - sheer organza(ish) overlaid on white. The thing I like about this dress is that the flowers are pins, which makes it really easy to change how the skirt overlay layers are arranged--or do away with the flowers altogether.
C - would definitely replace large hip bow with flowers (possibly ganked from dress B), and needs a petticoat. Has a simple lace-up back which I wasn't able to capture because I lack the manual dexterity to lace myself up the back.

They're all a little more fussy than I initially had in mind for my small oceanside ceremony, but since I couldn't find the cotton/linen dress of my dreams I figured I might as well have a little fun Smiley I'd love love love your opinions/ideas/advice on mods.
50  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Weddings and Bridal Showers / Re: Tissue Flowers - Please help! on: February 09, 2009 06:43:24 AM
The more I look at tissue flower projects the more I want to make some for my reception...the white ones are lovely, h-elaine, and your favor boxes are GORGEOUS, yellowbumblebee! They look just like my favorite peonies!
