so i love this style of hat, decided to see if i could figure out how to do it and it worked great! Grin  the first one is made of some old yarn leftover from years ago...i sold it to a lady at work for 20 dollars!

the buttons are my favorite touch

and here is a pink one made with vannas choice which is really nice but i had to buy two skeins so now i have a bunch leftover

thanks for looking!!

ooh very nice

you could donate the extra squares to one of the charities that takes square donations and then assembles them into afghans

This is gorgeous!!  I would love to try broomstick lace, I'll try the tutorial you suggested.  Did you use a broomstick or knitting needle for your scarf?

thanks!!  its fun to do once you get the hang of it, I used a us size 35 knitting needle

7  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: in desperate need of a 2nd [or 3rd or 18th or 284] opinion on: August 19, 2008 12:39:06 PM
the back is absolutely stunning, so i think just the front needs some work.....like the back of the skirt has the shiny irridescent fabric but the front is all matte and boring, and i think you need to work on the bodice flowing into the skirt  more, and definitly needs some color to the collar...but i think you will get it if you keep working on it
