Hi Everyone,

Howdy! I'm Julie, a thirty-something working mother of two in Washington State. My Pinterest is pretty clearly labeled with Swap Wishes and Swap Wishes: Supplies. I certainly don't need replicas. In fact, pretty much any color will do. My favorite colors are green, blue, teal, purple (in moderation), brown and neutrals. For my kids, I love brightly colored things.

I have a five-year-old boy and a 18-month-old girl. We are one of those uber-liberal vegetarian Jewish feminist households. Oddly enough, I work for the military, so work stuff needs to be on the conservative side. I love nerdy, geeky things. I don't like violent things (e.g., skulls) or toys that look sad.

These days I'm obsessed with finding interesting or re-decorated clothes for the kids. My poor little boy is so jealous of all the amazing girl clothes the toddler keeps getting. Boy clothes are *very* boring.

Oooh.... just received a knitted cowl and knitted necklace from Thatswhatshesaid. The colors are perfect, and I'm wearing the cowl right now in my freezing house

LOL... I have a lot to learn about sewing. I'm so glad I was wearing glasses one of the times the needle popped off and would have hit me in my eye.  Certainly Athena (or whoever the goddess of sewing is) was watching out for me   

I love that dress! So freaking cool!!!!!

Almost done with Smashu's foldover clutch. I'm upcycling an old jacket, and hope it comes out okay! First try didn't work, so went back to the drawing board. I think I've broken at least two sewing machine needles due to my ineptitude sewing pleather 

Check out the lovely wall art I received from jo_mama! So pretty. I was having a tough time deciding where it should go, but once my five-year-old saw it, he immediatly claimed it for his wall

So glad you like her!! And if anyones interested, I found the pattern on etsy.  Sorry I didn't giver her a mouth though, I can never seem to get them right 

I *love* her as-is, but am wondering how I could give her a mouth.... any ideas?
