Whoo-hoo! As a first time swapper, and still somewhat of a newbie, I'm so excited to be a part of this!!!! Of course, the hubbs thinks I'm just in it for the sweets Silly men!
Sorry I'm posting this well after Christmas, but I figure, hey, better now than never
This little tree was inspired from a craft out of the Oriental Trading catalog and since I already had all the necessary supplies, I decided to make my own, and save some money!! LOL!
It's kind of simple, but I love it!
By the way, I think I'm too tired or something to figure out how to link the actual craft correctly, but here's the long version:
Can I use your potty? That's the coolest thing I've seen in a long time! I just might have to do something similiar! Especially right before my MIL comes out for a visit- she already thinks I'm quirky!
I'd like to participate! My DH is Army, and we just went through all his old uniforms from the past 7 years, and there were over 25 BDU's/DCU's/ACU's, and my crafting lightbulb lit up! LOL!
I'm sorry about your dad. My family and I are going through the same thing, but with one of my uncles. These men sure do know how to be stubborn, don't they? My uncle was given 2 months to live last August, and he is still here with us.
My family and I have all written down our fondest memories of him and they are being put into a scrapbook with pictures from him childhood all the way to his adulthood. We think it will bring him a lot of happiness in however many more days he's with us.
Or maybe you all can put together a box of stuff he's enjoyed all through his years- from candy, to drinks, to movies, etc... Maybe he liked a certain TV show from his childhood. Might be nice to sit down and watch it with him on DVD if you can find it.
But above all, the best gift is the time spent with him. He may just want more hugs, more "I Love You's" and more of the stuff that we sometimes take for granted.
