It's a weighted companion cube which is kind of a character I guess in the video game Portal.
Portal is wicked and you should probably play it if given the chance.

Hey, awesome! I've never been featured before.

That jack in the box is absolutely amazing.

I attempted a new craft for this swap and it turned out better than I thought it would. I'm excited!

My first, and what I think will be my favorite, item is done! My second is about 3 quarters done and I think my printer has run out of ink (sadface)
I really need to go shopping for supplies before I can get much else done.

Thanks for the well wishes, VeniceIsSinking. My arm is still pretty tender (and I'm sure shoveling the driveway twice over two days didn't help at all but I'm stubborn like that), but I've got full mobility. Which means that if I get my Xmas jewelry making done soon, I can start ______ing your ______ ________. Wink

And themes are fine by me - especially when they revolve around sugar! Grin  (Speaking of which, I'm enjoying some lovely licorice pastels right now - yummy!)

and I can't wait to start ______ing your ______ ________!  I think it's going to turn out to be my favorite item. I'm excited. I have so many plans, I hope I can execute them all!

These are lovely!  I have a question, I just bought a pendant similar to those and I want to paint it but it's glass. Is it painted on glass?

When on earth did this thread become 15 pages!?  I think that I am the only person involved in this sawp who doesn't knit.
I'd like to learn though!

Asphalt queen, I hope you're arm's doing better! I had trouble sleeping lastnight because I was brainstorming projects.
I think they inadvertently became themed, but I know you'll like that. AND I saw my first box of Boston Baked Beans today when I was out Christmas shopping.
38  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Re: Metalopoly! The Metalocalypse Board Game on: December 18, 2008 02:05:26 PM
Awesome!!!!!  You could also get adhesive printer paper and using a graphics program make the labels for the cards and the spaces say whatever you want them to say.  Instead of the spaces saying Marvin Gardens or whatever it could be the bars, stadiums, or wherever the bands play.  You could also look for small charms in the scrapbooking section that are music related, and there are tiny cars/vans/buses in the toy section, and use those for the tokens.  Just a thought.
Thanks!
I did get a clock and a bat and a 1.5" spike for additional tokens. I thought about changing the spaces, but I had already spent a boat load of money and  I ended up changing the rules to reflect the spaces as where the venues were, so it worked out pretty decently
