I'm looking for rubber or other soft/flexible buttons.  I know there are some specialty trim/notions stores in the West mid-30s, but aren't they mostly "to the trade"?  Can anyone recommend a good place to buy retail?  Thanks if you can help.

Short version:  Is there a bind off that looks similar to the cable cast on?

Long version:  I found a beautiful variegated yarn sold by the bag, and decided to make my first afghan.  My swatch fibbed to me, and instead of a 40" x 60" rectangle it looks like I'm getting a 50" x 50" square.  No problem, I'll turn it sideways so the stripes from the variegation run vertical instead of horizontal, then pick up and knit borders to lengthen it.  It should work even better than my original plan!

But now the cast on and bind off will be the exposed side edges.  I did a pretty neat cable cast on and I'm kind of proud of it, so to keep things symmetrical I'd like the bind off to look similar, if possible.
