2  Texas / Texas: North Central / DFW Reception Help on: March 24, 2005 07:22:25 AM
I'm getting married next year ( I know it's a long time away) but I need a place to have my reception. I have been having no luck what so ever! The thing is, I'm not one for the normal reception. I hate being quiet and the family is seperated, groom's on one half of the room bride's on the other. I don't want to eat barbeque or steak like everybody does. I want it to be like a party. I need a big enough place for around 100 people to eat and dance and have fun. I don't want it to be already decorated with fake plants and white silk flowers everywhere. I want to have a DJ and a dance floor..a real one. But so far the places I've found where I can do that, are not pretty outside. And I don't want my guests driving up to a run down building. I live about 15-20 minutes south of Dallas, so it can't be like in Denton or anything. I want to find the place and pay for it even if it is a year away so I don't have to worry about it anymore. Please please please help!! Thank you!!

That looks good, you did a great job! Very professional, it looks like you bought it somewhere like Linens and Things. The ribbons are on there perfect. I made one of these for my sewing room at home, should have used a grid for the fabric, mine came out not so symmetrical....figures..
7  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / Re: Subsitute for Mushrooms? on: January 13, 2005 08:28:11 AM
Thanks guys for all the great suggestions!! I think I'll try broccoli for the lasagna, but the chicken stroganoff, I still don't know about. Mushrooms are the only vegetable it's asking for. But thank you for all your great replies! If you get any suggestions for the stroganoff please let me know.
8  COOKING / Recipes and Cooking Tips / Subsitute for Mushrooms? on: January 12, 2005 09:57:31 AM
I have a recipe for quite a few chicken recipes all asking for large amounts of sliced mushrooms. The main two are chicken lasagna and chicken stroganoff. One asking for 1 cup and the other asking for 2 cups. I absolutely hate mushrooms. I just don't like them. I need to know if there's something I can subsitute it for. Everything else in the recipe sounds delicious, I would prefer to use this recipe then one without mushrooms. Any ideas?

First of all, I love your buttons, they are sooo cute!! Please let us know if/when you open up a site, I would definetely be interested in buying them. Second, how do you make buttons, is there a little machine or something? I've also wanted to do that, but didn't know how. I would greatly appreciate if someone could let me know.
