new handles and pulls work wonders. if you still like the colors go with them. find a coordinating color and make those your jumping off point.

just go to the dollar store and pick up a clear shower curtain. then go make the shower curtain of your dreams!  Cheesy the cheap one will take care of the water proofing and you can throw the one you make in the washer.

make some fun wall art. there is nothing more depressing than to move into a new place and have nothing on the walls. get some fun fabric and make some curtains. apartments usually have the worst curtains. also get her a house plant. if you don't think it would survive make it a silk plant.... thats all I can think of for now Hope it helps!

What I was looking for more visual inspiration... but resin skulls would be so awesome! I'll look into that too.
