1  Re: My vintage dress, Still fits after a year!!! in Weddings and Bridal Showers by morbidlovexox on: September 06, 2008 09:40:58 AM
OOh!!! that thing was a steal! and let me tell you corsets do wonders! as for your hair... I think this would be very appropriate for a vintage wedding dress....
This is my favorite. very polished, yet not too "fussy up do'' great for your length and your color.

2  Re: Corpse Bride garter! in Weddings and Bridal Showers by morbidlovexox on: September 05, 2008 10:30:57 AM
Very cool! Do you have a link to your dress?

Here is a pic of my dress before I got it altered. I took the rouching(sp?) in the front out, so its just smooth in the front.

I have my arms crossed so it won't fall off! I have no boobs to hold it up!

3  Corpse Bride garter! in Weddings and Bridal Showers by morbidlovexox on: September 04, 2008 07:48:03 PM
I could NOT find any garter that I liked and would match my red and black theme (my dress is red no white at all) besides the ones they sell at Claire's that say Prom '08! so with the help of Alli_Lucy, I have made some garters of my own! Thanx so much for the inspiration and the know how!

here are both together. I made the black and silver one from my stash and the red and black one from the sash that came with my dress(who wears a sash honestly?) and some old lace.

This is the toss one, it is also my something blue. It has a corpse bride button!

and the red one! I love it!

nine more days!

5  Ruffle butt skirt! in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by morbidlovexox on: June 28, 2008 10:07:31 AM
I recently participated as a designer and a model in a Recycled Fashion Show at a local venue. I was hoping to get pretty professional pictures from the photographer but he screwed us and I'm tied of waiting so I took some of my own photos. here is the skirt I am most proud of. Its all recycled, used, previously something else stuff.

Sorry for the blurriness but lemme know what you think!

6  Black and white Cup cake stand! in Weddings and Bridal Showers by morbidlovexox on: May 16, 2008 12:01:34 PM
okay so I have been seeing the cute cupcake stands around here for ages and I wanted one so bad, but I couldnt find any thing that I liked for the longest time, but then... I was wandering around hobby lobby with my tax refund and no self control and found the perfect ingredients. thankfully everything was 50% off! so three awesome plates, two candle sticks and some e-6000 later I have the perfect cupcake stand!

here it is with some flowers. You can see the candle sticks here

and here it is from the top so you can see the designs on the plates.

I absolutely love it!

7  Bride's bouquet for fall wedding in Weddings and Bridal Showers by morbidlovexox on: May 16, 2008 11:55:52 AM
here is the other part of my wedding flowers and arguably the most important. My bouquet! Grin

Our colors are "officially" red black and silver, but since my dress is going to be red I thought a bouquet of nothing but red roses would be too much. A little contrast would make it easier to see and since its a fall wedding I think the colors fit.  I feel it might be missing a little something though.... any suggestions?

8  fall wedding bouquets! in Weddings and Bridal Showers by morbidlovexox on: May 15, 2008 05:17:15 PM
I am finally out of school (for a whole week) and got my flowers done! I made these cute pomanders for my bridesmaids. here are the (almost) finished products.

I don't know why this one looks not so round in the picture...

I just need to add a string of beads to hold onto and then viola!

9  is this too creepy to have in a wedding? in Weddings and Bridal Showers by morbidlovexox on: March 16, 2008 04:05:25 PM

okay so I made this for an art class for a completely different purpose, but once I finished it I couldn't get the candle out like I had originally planned to do. I looked at it for a while and decided I quite like it with the candle in it and then a light bulb went off! its the same colors and theme of my september wedding. red and black and trees! but then I sat and looked some more and wondered if a dead tree was a little too creeps for a wedding... then I got another light bulb. ask crafster! oh and also... where would I put it?
