Today as I rushed to get from my car to the house, I had to stop and pick up the tampons that fell out of my purse. So, I thought, Hmmm. . . I wonder how I can fix this problem? So, as I was looking around on here tonight, I found this: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=208589.0
So, I decided to make one. I just changed it a little. not much though.

It's a zebra print ribbon and a Barney purple button.
I messed up and forgot to sew the button on till the very end so the inside looks a bit rough.
But, it's not very noticeable.



And here is the inside lining stuff.
It has dinosaurs on it.
I wanted to use it more on this.
But I wasn't really sure how to.
So, it's just the lining.

i'm a girl scout and am working on my gold award which is the highest award you can get. (lots of scholarships etc. etc.) anyway, you have to do a community service project that's decently big. lol. well, mine is this: i'm going to make as many bags(simple ones) as i can and then fill them with bath stuff then send them to the women's care center. (for single moms, pregnant teens, battered women, etc. etc.) Anyone have a simple, quick to make (but still cute) bag idea? i want them to still be able to use it as a purse after they get it. i'll probably make more than one type. and, if anyone wants to donate bags PM me and we can figure something out. thanks a lot guys!

so, i have spent the past four hours of my life slaving over my slightly warm (the light gets kinda hot lol) sewing machine. and it was all for this lovely penguin purse. it's probably the most expensive fabric i've ever bought at wal-mart (no fabric store here). seven dollars! GASP!  lol. anyway, it is sparkly grey tweed and makes me INCREDIBLY happy. the straps are just yellow ribbon. anyway, here are the pics. the penguin on the front is a cell phone holder. i would have taken a pic of him on the job, but i had to use my cell to take the pictures.
