lapoli- Thank you! Those diaper cover look so cute! Too bad I did not hear about cloth diapers 2 years ago, now the kid is too big for that, maybe if I have another one I will take the plunge!

24  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Craftalongs / Re: craftalong to, post a project on every completed projects board in craftster on: March 25, 2010 08:28:49 PM
{Insert complains here, about lack of time, school , cleaning , etc.}
Besides that Ive made some tiny projects that I posted on my "safe zone" : the paper crafts board and the more art, less craft board.
My attempt at making soap from scraps of other soaps ended in disaster, mostly because of lack of patience. I will take a break from the bath and beauty board for a few days, my friend promised to teach me how to make my own acrylic nails this weekend, lets see how that goes.

Very cheerful - I like how the kite tail travels over the other inchies.  Is that a bubble-wrap background?
Yes! I was experimenting with bubble wrap stamping Smiley

The clouds were originally just painted, but I added some cotton to give it a 3-D look, I felt like a kid on pre-school Smiley Remember when you used cotton to make clouds and fluffy bunny tails? I loved those days!

So cute! I think it looks like a lemur, or maybe I have watched Madagascar too many times with mi kid! http://pummeledbyadoringfans.files.wordpress.com/2007/08/pk_madagascar_lemurs.jpg

I was inspired by the movies "Up" and "Up in the air, that I saw both on the same day! That night I also read a few chapters of Peter Pan to my baby and found myself imagining that I was flying along with Peter. This is my first inchie set, and I loved it! Working with miniatures is really my thing.
I made these for the wonderful Alwaysinmyroom  Wink
29  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Re: Unmotivated? on: March 23, 2010 10:20:46 AM
I take various approaches with this problem.
1- Organization: I start with a list of the projects I have in mind. Then I divide the list into things that I have all the materials to make that project, and from that list I place in order of priority acording to due dates.
I end up with a few lists: Things I can make with materials I have on hand, Things I can make but need to buy materials, and  Things I want to make someday.

2- If the lists does not push me to start, I look for inspiration to get motivated,  I can use sites like Crafter, ImgFave, or blogs to inspire me.

3- If that does not work I watch a crafty movie, like Amelie.

Hope this helps!
30  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Re: English-Spanish Dictionary! on: March 23, 2010 10:15:13 AM
Im havings troubles finding a good translation to "quilting" besides "colcha". My problem is that the term quilting is used for more than what "colcha" incorporates (wich is only the actual finished quilt) Hopefully someone can help me with this!

maria isabel, that one I really don't know! I think technically they are the same thing, since the "colchas" I remember from my childhood had a certain resemblance... But Argentina clearly doesn't have the quilting culture there is here in the US.
Exactly! There is not much quilting here in Puerto Rico, but I play around with it a lt and have a lot of trouble translating it!
OK another dilema: the word "tutorial"  Huh
