1  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Family Jewels on: May 28, 2009 01:32:47 PM
I had some family come in for Memorial weekend for a graduation and while they were here some of them took a look of my crafts. They ended up taking a few for themselves and I just wanted to share them with all of you and give them a nice farewell, lol.  Grin (clicking on the image will make them bigger)

I would love to hear what you think!
2  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Origami star pendants on: April 21, 2009 01:25:11 PM
These are few pendants I've made recently. I love the way they turned out and the colors. You can click on the images to see them bigger.
They're really small, each star is around 3mm to 5mm, smaller or bigger. I was able to fit 14 stars in each bottle. It's hard trying to make them so small but I love the way they ended up.

Thanks for looking! Let me know what you think!
3  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Doggy illustrations on: April 04, 2009 07:03:28 AM

This was a class project, do a series of illustrations and I did my doggies!
These were all done in Adobe Illustrator, took me a while trying to get everything right, I think the one that came out the best was Ruby, but only cause the reference photo I used was so detailed. Let me know what you think? Thanks Grin
(this photo's kinda small...but the originals are huge, i dont know if I should have bigger pictures so you can see the detail? let me know)
4  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Octopus plushy requested by friend for his little sister on: April 03, 2009 04:41:53 PM
He told me it should be purple, with button eyes cause they're cuter and that he should have a removable eye patch so you could lift it up and see he doesn't need it, he's just making a fashion statement.
kinda looks like a top hat here

his myspace shot

chilling out

and his tentacles

I hope his sister enjoys it!
5  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / First Lolita Clothes EVER! practically first clothes too! on: April 03, 2009 04:34:12 PM
First of all I'd like to say... Please excuse my messiness.........
I made a hoodie once, so that was my first clothes making experience ever, but I can't say I have too much experience with clothes making so these were practices for me and of course...they aren't the greatest. I found a tutorial online that really helped me out with the petticoat style skirt (first picture) and that website is http://sugardale.blogspot.com/2008/08/how-to-make-petticoat.html

anyways this skirt was made from some sort of curtain material (according to my momma) and has a wild strawberry pattern thing going on. The color actually varies through out...probably cause it so old or something (the fabrics used here were kindly given to me from the lady I bought my sewing table from) it was fun making it and I learned a lot that will come in handy later

and then I made a dress! technically its not finished, but I was much to excited to not share! it's too short, the bottom isn't finished and it's missing proper sleeves, and its a little too big  Cry

the back, i put a zipper and the top and some elastic to try to make it smaller but it's still too big

I'm wearing a white skirt under cause it has lace at the bottom and it poufs it out slightly, it's pretty poufy on its own. needs more pouf!
let me know what you think!

6  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / flower photos and a Winner! on: February 11, 2009 12:21:57 PM
long time no post on craftster, and I'll make a comeback with some photos

so I'm in school studying graphic design and one class we had a photography class which I was very happy to be in, I love taking pictures. so I found out we were going to the Denver Botanic Gardens to take pictures to use in our class and I found out that there would be a contest, so I submitted these and I WON! The first one is my winner. I won a Panasonic Lumix FZ-18, 18x optical zoom, it's amazing and I'm still getting used to it
Let me know what you think!

7  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / World's Tiniest Ice Cubes a.k.a Salt! on: May 06, 2008 10:02:19 AM
I wouldn't suggest putting these in your drink even though they might look like ice cubes....it's table salt!

I was playing with my food at a restaurant....I poured salt into my sweet and sour sauce and I started taking pictures (you can kinda see the salt dissolving and disappearing). I used my Sony Cybershot DSC-T7, best little camera I've had!

It was really hard to pick a picture for this challenge but I picked this one because salt is the smallest thing I've ever taken pictures of......and I'm always taking pictures.
Hope you like it!!

8  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / lace gloves pattern? on: April 17, 2008 08:43:18 AM
I'm sure there are some out there...would anyone be so kind as to direct to me to some images...or ideas, or a pattern? Or anything like experience would be helpful.
I can never find gloves that fit me...and I was just wondering if anyone has made any or seen any crocheted lace gloves?
Thanks!  Grin
9  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Did I go too far? Check it out! on: April 16, 2008 11:16:24 AM
Look at what I've done! I was done working in class...and I figured...why not?
Did I go overboard?
Do you see it?

Let us ZOOM IN!

MORE!?

It's 1/16 of an inch!

next to one of the "bigger" ones

in my hand

I know...it's absurd...I'm not sure if I'll make more or not, you can't really tell it's a star unless you really look at it. It looks like a little roll of paper.
Thanks for looking!  Grin
10  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Tiny Origimi Stars on a Quarter! (lots of pictures!) on: April 16, 2008 08:54:28 AM
When I first made origami stars I loved them...and then for the OTT swap I decided to see if I could make very very tiny stars and I succeeded! I sent a little glass bottle full of tiny stars...now I finally got around to make more for myself. Here are some of them:

There's 20 of them on a quarter.

In a small bottle...

in an even smaller bottle

The little bottle is about an inch high and each star is about 1/8 of an inch...some are smaller and some are slightly bigger.
Thanks for taking a look!  Grin
