31  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Re: IYP (Invite Your Partner) round 26? on: July 14, 2014 02:25:38 AM
Wowzers!!! I think 10 pages back Suereal responded to me... And after that I got sucked up in cleaning the house (BLEH), helping kids with building their own cabin and more cleaning the house...

Thanks all for responding (it started with what kind of engineer), I read it all and I loved that! I'm glad I did understand it right  Smiley

I LOVE my job so anyone asking me what I do for a living has to listen to my for at least half an hour  Grin haha! So... I am a teacher at primary school and I love it! Not always the easiest job but fun and challenging.  Cheesy

I am a people person, but I'm also comfortable being alone. If you would meet me, you will see (hear  Grin ) that I am not shy at all, I am very chatty-chatty  Cheesy

Susi, I love your stories and you always make me LAUGH or at least smile. But I would say more laugh than smile!!  Cheesy

Ok, so I have learned a new crochet technique and I NEED to use that in something I will make for my partner! It is so pretty!

Tomorrow we will leave for our Summer holiday, but we will stay in the Netherlands so I can keep in touch with you Craftsters!!  Smiley

Oh my goodness, I just mentioned the "asking about colors" portion of this thread to my husband...

... and got a 30-minute lecture on why woman often do see color better than men, since the red and green cone thingees are on the x chromosome and women have two (which is why red/green colorblindness is more common in men) and is a recent adaption by... um... the great apes and African monkeys and... that's why your dog might have trouble seeing a red ball in green grass, but sees a blue ball better since most mammals don't have the cones for red/green or at least not as good of receptors... and...  I think I zoned out there for a minute, and I'm paraphrasing...

Anyway, turns out a bit part of his lecture TODAY was on the eye and vision.  And I now know more about color vision than I probably ever needed to.

Oh, and he also ACTUALLY USED the line about peach being a fruit, not a color, in his lecture (mind you, I did not talk to him at all today... apparently 21 years of cohabitation will make you freakishly alike...).

bwahaha! LOL!!  Grin I like to think I'm better at colours, but my partner doesn't agree (of course!) I think he misses a colour (or two) and can claim a thing to be blue but I really do see an other colour!! Even with the rest of the family agreeing it isn't blue, he will claim it is blue... SIGH, well okay for YOU it is, for the rest of the country it isn't  Wink Haha!

All you peeps saying you're engineers, yikes that sound so intimidating! I am just a crafter, is that okay?  Wink
BTW engineer in/of what?? In my mind there are so many different sorts of engineers, but that might also be me translating it wrong?!  It sounds like difficult, with lots of parts involving and being good at math! It sounds like everything I am NOT, haha! Measuring it twice, mweh, just start cutting, that sort of thing  Grin

I haven't done any more stalking or planning, I did order LOTS of yarn so I can crochet me a nice poncho (is that the same in English, not sure) While I wanted that, I also ordered some new, fresh, crochet needles. I was still using the borrowed ones of my MIL, it was about time I got my own!  Cheesy I think I need to crochet Calabazza a nice, whatever...  Roll Eyes Did I mention my new addiction is crochet?  Grin  Cheesy

Don't you just love it when you make projects that have to be classed as "miscellaneous"? Grin

This is a great group, but I think rackycoo is the real winner here, right?

Aww, thanks to everyone who loves pirates, beaches, spools, and miscellaneous!

Mweh, I just love miscellaneous Craftsters  Grin

Haha, no just kidding, I love your  pirate/beach-spool! And yes, Racky is the number one! Owning 2 of the featured projects alone is an achievement!

Oh yes, and of course her crafting is excellent  Cheesy

It is a weird, creepy thing but in a good way.  Grin

I became a fan of glow in the dark since I met you! Every night my robin keeps looking at me from the side table next to my bed, haha!  Smiley

Keep it up, sue!!
